Welcome
to Riverton High School, home of the "Mean Wolverines". Riverton
High School is a comprehensive high school teaching students in
grades nine through twelve. We are a learning community whose
mission is dedicated to providing a foundation for responsible
life-long learning. RHS offers a variety of academic and
career technical programs to help prepare our students for their
post secondary goals. Our career technical
programs offer courses from introductory levels to college level
dual credit and AP courses.
RHS seeks to provide a structured and
challenging environment centered on Respect, Responsibility and Hard
Work. We believe that any student who learns those three values
will be successful at Riverton High School and throughout their future.
While RHS believes in the educational foundations of the past, we also embrace the trends of the future, incorporating technology and current instructional strategies into our classrooms and throughout our school. We are currently working on realigning our career technical programs to provide pathways for students to enter into the abundance of careers available in Wyoming’s energy rich environment. Along with the work being done in this area we continue to set school goals to increase our student’s abilities in reading, writing and math as these three areas are vital to all other learning paths.
Riverton High School is rich in academics and full of extra curricular opportunities for our students. We believe that extra curricular opportunities offer students another environment in which to learn Respect, Responsibility and Hard Work. Our Wolverine and Lady Wolverine athletic and activity groups compete with other high schools around the state as well as at regional, district, state and national competitions. In a large county with many school districts, RHS is the BEST!! |
