Riverton High School believes that the students should determine the Master Schedule. Based on student requests administration selects the courses, the number of sections, and staff for the Master Schedule. For these reasons, we constantly stress to students and parents the importance of course selection.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to select:
-Courses that meet Graduation Requirements
-Courses that will help you prepare for the future and
-Courses in which you have personal interest.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from Riverton High School all students must attend 8 semesters and complete the fallowing credit requirements:
English - 4.0 credits
Math - 3.0 credits
Science - 3.0 credits
Social. Studies - 3.0 credits
Physical Education - 1.0
Health - .5
Fine and Performing Arts - .5
Career & Tech ed. - .5
Electives - 10.0
Computer Certification
Career Portfolio

Total - 25.5 credits

Class Load
All students in grades 9, 10 and 11 must carry a load of 3.5 credits per semester, (NO OPEN PERIODS). Seniors may take an open period but it must be taken during the 60-minute periods. They also must be scheduled in 6 to 7 credits for the school year. Seniors may only take two of the following classes a school year:
-Education Orientation
-Peer Tutoring
-Teacher Aide
-Library Aide
-Office Aide
-Career Experience
-Work Experience

100-90 - A
89-80 - B
79-70 - C
69-60 - D
59-below - F
