Digital Photography

This course meets the following State Career & Technical Standards:  Resources, Systems, Information, and Technology.
This course meets the following State Fine and Performing Arts Standards:  Creative Expression through Production, Aesthetic Perception, Historical and Cultural Context, and Applications to Life.

This course will cover digital cameras, Adobe Photoshop, desktop scanners, and printing.  Digital images will be editing with appropriate professional digital imaging software to create and transform digitized images.  The course will teach methods of combining images and text, as well as pictorial composition and layout.  Students must have own digital camera.  If student is taking this course for dual credit, the camera must be an SLR digital. 

NOTE:  a $40 supply fee is required for this course.

 

  • Students will become familiar with digital cameras.
  • Students will manipulate their own images, imported from external sources and transform their ideas into expressive visual art.
