This course addresses the following State Social Studies Standards in Culture and Cultural Diversity and Time, Continuity, and Change in this class.

Study in psychology will focus on the development of the field as a science, its application in the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, and human development.  Study areas may include, but are not limited to:

  • Human development from birth to death
  • Psychopharmacology (the effects of drugs on our bodies and our behavior)
  • Cultural and environmental influences on behavior
  • Personality Development
  • Psychological Disorders
  • Learning, memory and intelligence
  • Social Studies approved course for the Hathaway Success Curriculum.
