• Activities include: Stroke development, water proofing, basic water safety skills, emergency water safety

Weight Training

This course meets the following State Physical Education Standards: Movement, and Fitness.
Athletic Conditioning is a physical education class that may be taken to help fulfill the credit requirements in physical
education for graduation.

• The course deals with the improvement of fitness levels in the following areas; strength, speed, endurance,
and flexibility.
• The primary emphasis will be placed upon strength gains through the use of free weights and various
machines.


Advanced Physical Education

(course # 1511)
Grade Level: 9,10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Freshman Physical Education
Credit: .5 Elective

This course meets the following State Physical Education Standards: Movement, Fitness, and Personal and Social
Behavior.

• This class will cover team sports (i.e.: basketball, volleyball, softball), individual sports and physical fitness,

Lifetime Activities
(block only course # 1513)
Grade Level: 9,10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Freshman Physical Education
Credit: 1.0 Elective

A $40.00 fee per semester is required.

This course meets the following State Physical Education Standards: Movement, and Personal and Social
Behavior.

• Physical fitness
• Activities include golf, bowling, archery, scuba diving, racquetball, fly fishing, swimming, canoeing,
kayaking, etc.

Advanced Lifetime Activities
(block only course # 1519)
Grade Level: 10,11,12
Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed Lifetime Activities
Credit: 1.0

A $40.00 fee per semester is required.

This course meets the following State Physical Education Standards: Movement, and Personal and Social
Behavior.

• Physical fitness.
• This course begins where the regular Lifetime classes ended.
• Activities include advanced golf, bowling, archery, scuba diving, racquetball, fly fishing, swimming,
canoeing, kayaking, etc.


NOTE: ENROLLMENT IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSES IS LIMITED TO
