Frequently asked scholarship questions:

  1. Brief statement which includes your plans for the future, your career and life goals.
  2. Brief summary of your activities, hobbies, work experience.  Include school, community, church, youth organizations, etc.
  3. Paragraph describing your need for this scholarship.
  4. Educational, occupational and personal goals.
  5. Summary of school and out-of-school activities and accomplishments.
  6. Essay describing the greatest risk you have ever taken and what you gained or learned through the choices you made in this experience.
  7. Education plans, how you plan to achieve them and career intentions.
  8. Biographical description of yourself including family background, pertinent school information, school activities, community service, work experience, plans for the future, name of college selected, intended field of study, why you have chosen this field and information concerning your financial need for this scholarship.

 

Your scholarship resume addresses many of these items and that’s why it is so critical that you finish that.  As you can see, most of the essays are very similar.
